Does OSHA require CPR training for my employees?

It depends on your industry. OSHA requires CPR and First Aid training for workers in oil and gas, logging, confined space operations, and electrical power generation. Even where it's not mandatory, OSHA recommends it for any workplace where emergency response time exceeds 3 to 4 minutes. Our AHA Heartsaver courses meet OSHA requirements and we train on-site at your facility.

Is CPR certification required for daycare workers in North Dakota?

Accepted Answer

Yes. North Dakota requires all licensed childcare providers to complete pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid training within 90 days of employment. The training must include a hands-on skills test with a certified instructor. We teach AHA infant and child CPR on-site at your daycare or school so your staff stays compliant without losing a full day offsite.

What CPR training do mining and energy employees need?

MSHA requires that a person trained in first aid and CPR be available on every shift at mine sites. Our AHA CPR/AED/First Aid courses meet MSHA requirements and can count toward your Part 46 annual refresher training hours. We currently train crews at BNI Coal and Westmoreland Mine on their schedules at their locations.

Do healthcare providers need different CPR training than other businesses?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Healthcare providers, dental offices, and medical professionals need AHA BLS certification, not Heartsaver. BLS goes deeper into chest compressions, ventilation, team dynamics, and opioid overdose/Narcan administration. General business employees, industrial crews, and coaches take the Heartsaver course instead. We teach both on-site.

Can you train our team at a remote job site?

Yes. We travel to oil field locations, pipeline sites, mine sites, farms, ranches, and rural facilities across western North Dakota. We work around shift rotations and operational schedules so your crew doesn't have to leave the site. We bring all AHA training materials and equipment.
